The only way to manage the HSV is through a third network interface used for configuration, monitoring, and updates. Tamper detection mechanisms in the HSV chassis prevent attempts to modify the device physically to allow data to pass in the wrong direction.
All firmware updates must be signed and verified by the management interface. The HSV won’t start up if its firmware lacks a valid signature.
