Shibu Thomas

Shibu Thomas is the Field CTO for Global Insider Risk Solutions at Everfox, with more than 27 years of experience in information technology and cybersecurity. He is a recognized practitioner in Insider Risk — a discipline he has specialized in for over 20 years — with deep expertise in User Activity Monitoring (UAM), User and Entity Behavioral Analytics (UEBA), psycholinguistic analysis, and case management as applied to user and data protection.

Shibu has built and matured Insider Risk programs across some of the most demanding environments in the world, including U.S. and international government agencies, Five Eyes partners, and global private sector organizations. His work spans the full program lifecycle — from initial framework development through technology implementation, operational refinement, and measurement of program effectiveness. He has contributed directly to establishing Insider Risk capabilities within a major U.S. aerospace and defense contractor and a U.S. government agency.

In his current role at Everfox, Shibu works with organizations globally to advance Insider Risk strategies through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates technology, governance, and stakeholder alignment. He also serves as an Industry Chair with the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center (ATARC) and collaborates with the Insider Risk Practitioners Alliance (IRPA), helping shape best practices and industry guidance for the field.
